Chinese Traditional Culture Renaissance and Christianity Adoption
There is a belief crisis going on among Chinese people. On one hand, most of Chinese people have lost or given up invaluable Chinese traditional cultures, namely 儒家 與 道家 (Confucianism & Daoism); on the other hand, they are stubborn to adopt Christianity.
It's urgent to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ into mainland China. God is the Creator, the Almighty, and the Eternal. God has mercy over every nation believing in Him. In the history, there're multiple Christian missionaries coming to China to preach the gospel, such as James Hudson Taylor who founded China Inland Mission(CIM). However, the political situation after 1949 in mainland China made the preaching almost impossible. Most of Christian missionaries like CIM had to leave permanently. We've seen how Christianity gracefully works in believer's personal lives and throughtout civil societies and we don't want mainland China become abandoned by God.
Chinese traditional culture, Confucianism and Daoism, is the cultural identity of Chinese people.
While we Chinese people are lucky to have numerous great ancestors (Confucius, Mencius, etc) as our spiritual heritage throughout the history, more and more people are ignorant of them nowadays. Worse than that, people usually tend to have negative opinions of them even though few has read a chapter of our ancestor's works. This is something called cultural collapse which only leads to the disintegration of Chinese nation in the end.
Besides Christianity and our traditional culture, ancient Greek philosophy is also invaluable to human beings. We regard those three as the guiding principles for everyone.
There're so much to do in regards to belief reconstruction, enlightenment, and gospel preaching in mainland China.
We are to be lit, day and night, until our nation wakes up.
